Instead, the file that you see is just a map that points to where the bits (again, the 1's and 0's) are stored on disk, much like a map. The file that you see on disk isn't actually the bits (the 1's and 0's) that make up the data that that file contains. Hard linking is well documented on the web so I'll do a very short and simple explanation. This is a game changer when it comes to speed and efficiency of an automated setup.

The last bit I'll leave you with is that this setup allows for hard links. regular also greatly benefits from having a dedicated instance of those applications and accompanying folder structures. Sonarr can be a little tricky with anime but it gets way easier if you setup a second Sonarr instance specifically for anime and use unique tags from Sonarr and completed folder names to match.

UNRAID SONARR MOVIE

It matches the downloaded files to a wanted movie in your library, and based on how you have Radarr setup, renames and moves those files from into your media directory where Plex is configured to watch for filesystem changes.Īll of the various *arr apps can be setup to work this way, and the folder structure works for all of them. SAB then sends word to Radarr that it is done with that download, and on the next file system check that Radarr runs on the completed movie directory, it find the files that are now present from the recent download.

When the download completes, SAB is configured to move it not just to completed, but to the movies subdirectory under completed. When SAB first starts that download, it is written to the usenet incoming directory.

Using Radarr running in a fully automated usenet stack as an example, a request will come in from Ombi to Radarr, Radarr with search via NZBHydra, Radarr will select what to download and send that to SABnzbd with the tag of 'movie'. data (unRAID share, and the only path you attach to your docker containers) That way, everything from Plex to Sonarr to Brazarr to Lidarr sees the same path structure. I find that using a single top level directory for every docker container works best. I tried changing those to both: data/downloads/complete and data/downloads/incomplete, but when i downloaded a linux iso, it was sent to the incomplete folder and then moved to the completed folder, but i dont think radarr imported it because no renaming happened (i changed it back to config/ based) I noticed that on the SAB Temporary Download Folder as: config/downloads/Incomlete, and the Completed Download Folder as config/downloads/Complete. So i could basically just use my "Incomplete" file as the "usenet" file and should be able to make it work.Ĭan anyone help me along here and let me know what paths i need to change to get this to work? Sometime when i start messing with this unraid stuff i end up messing something up and have a hard time getting back to square 1.

UNRAID SONARR WINDOWS

I followed spaceinvaders videos for the initial setup when i migrated from Windows to Unraid and i think that my Completed folder and my library folder are the same thing and its importing everything when it should be rejecting some of them.Īs of right now, i dont think that the Incomplete folder is being used. So i've had sab/sonarr/radarr running for a while now and recently i've noticed that i'll get some mismatched movies show up on my plex account and seems like they were incorrectly matched from the indexer, but shouldn't have imported because of the missmatch.
